THE NEW PENGUIN ENCYCLOPEDIA is the one reference book that all families and offices need. It contains over 28,000 entries on the facts, events, issues, people, beliefs and achievements that make up the sum of human knowledge and experience. It is written in a clear, direct style that illuminates even the most intricate concept. The book is designed so that it is easy to locate the information you require quickly, and there are over 350 maps and diagrams to and understanding where necessary.
The entries have been written by an international team of over 350 experts, making this the most thoroughly researched book of its kind. In addition, there is a Ready Reference section at the end of the book, which contains key statistical information about the world we inhabit.
The result is a book that is the most wide-ranging, authoritative and accessibly written one-volume encyclopedia obtainable.
