When Jim Wolf arrives in Naples for a holiday he has no idea what he'll find. Unexpectedly, he meets Louisa, an ex-girlfriend from London, who is now married to a Neapolitan judge. Through this volatile friendship he is introduced to a city of violent contrast; a disturbing metropolis of shadows, organized crime and unspoken codes, where betrayal - of a lover, of friends, of oaths and of oneself - is part of the way of life.
